When you own a WSI franchise, you have a job description that says “simplify the Internet.”

The web is huge. Every country on earth, nearly every city in the world, and billions of people are connected to this phenomenon. New York has been called “the city that never sleeps,” but even NYC can’t quite match the constantly evolving, always-on, full-speed process that is the Web. As one set of users goes to sleep, another wakes up halfway across the world, so is it any wonder that with a system in which there is never any downtime, things get kind of complicated?

A lot of people use the Internet, but that doesn’t mean they all understand it.

The most that the average user experiences of the Web is the front-end user interface. Those trying to start a business with an online component are generally clueless about the stuff that lies underneath this upper layer of the Internet such as web analytics, site traffic and other factors driving responses.

That’s where your services as a digital marketing expert comes in.

You aren’t just there to give the customer a neat package offer; you’re helping them to make sense of the very complicated engine of parts that is the web. You will give them an understanding of how these back-end factors can affect their business and, moreover, how they can be used to make their business stand out.

A lot more gets accomplished with a division of labor, when one person does one thing and someone else does another thing. You’ll accomplish the task of making the Internet simple and accessible for your clients, while they focus on what they wanted to in the first place — managing their business.

One of the biggest challenges in today’s market place is that businesses understand they need something but don’t know what that something is. A business owner who specializes in paving driveways has no idea in general about marketing especially internet marketing. Why Do I want a Franchise?

When we talk about owning your own WSI franchise, we often mention the security of owning your own business.

There’s a lot to be said for it, including the financial security, the emotional security and many other elements of the idea. However, one of the most important is the security that comes from being able to give a quick response to unexpected changes.

Large businesses end up being very bureaucratic. This is a necessary process, because large businesses have a vast amount of information to handle — financial, personnel, public relations — it all adds up. Thus, large businesses build up a layer of red tape to control and organize the collection of all this information and all decisions that come with operating a business. The problem is, anyone who’s dealt with red tape understands that it leaves very little discretion to any one member of the organization. Procedure must be followed, even if it’s clear that the solution lies slightly outside the manual. This is why when you call technical support places, you always hear, “Have you tried turning it off, then on again?”

Compare that to owning your own business, and being completely in charge. You will know how to solve problems, but more importantly, you’ll have the independence to do it. If a customer comes to you with a unique request, you can immediately make decisions as to how you might honor that request instead of going through a mindless checklist, because it’s your business. You’ll have the freedom and security to make these fast, small-scale decisions that come up without having to reference some impartial bureaucracy and miss the boat while you’re trying to check off line 13a on page 12 of form C.

Many of our franchisees who come from Senior level positions in the worlds largest business even choose to consider this when approaching there clietsn and target many small and medium sized business because they can make a descision quickly. For a new franchisees this helps to realize revenue much quicker as you are not waitinig 12 months for a company and 10 levels of managment to approve a project.
